The Sonic Herts Festival is the University of Hertfordshire’s annual music festival celebrating the talent of the Music Department’s students and staff. Run by the School of Creative Arts, the festival offers an exhilarating mix of performances ranging from classical and experimental to acoustic and electronic.

This year’s festival is jam-packed with 14 events running back-to-back over 3 days, and there’s something for everyone! Come along for amazing musical performances by external artists, informative industry talks from leading experts, and fantastic showcases produced by UH Music Students.

Entry is FREE and everyone is invited! All events take place in the Film, Music & Media Building on College Lane Campus.

The festival repertoire is further enhanced by a live concert of movie music performed by the University’s resident orchestra, de Havilland Philharmonic, which takes place on Sunday 11 May at the Weston Auditorium. Alongside popular film scores, the concert will feature an original composition written by one of the School of Creative Arts’ final year music students. Click here for more information.
