New Geographies

New Geographies was a 3-year project with 10 artists’ commissions across East Anglia. People nominated over 250 locations based on personal stories and reflections, some of which have inspired the new artworks. The aim was to create a new map of the East of England, by enabling people to share their stories and re-imagine our idea of ‘place’.

Between 2018-20, UH Arts + Culture worked with two of the commissioned artists Stuart Whipps and Krijn de Koning. Find out more about their projects below, as well as the outreach artists' projects by Sarah Evans and Jane Glynn.
