As the orchestra perform these festive favourites, Mayhew paints his illustrations live before your very eyes, all in perfect synchronicity with the music.
Featuring the glorious Christmas Overture by Coleridge-Taylor, full of all your favourite Christmas carols, as well as Prokofiev’s Troika (Sleigh Ride), which was the composer’s first attempt at film music.
Rimsky-Korsakov’s magnificent Christmas Eve suite was inspired by a Ukrainian fairytale and rivals The Nutcracker for dazzling tunes and enchanting sounds. The perfect start to the Christmas season!
