Calling all UH Staff + Students – join the University’s choir and enjoy a relaxed, friendly environment with the aim to enjoy singing!

Formerly known as the Go Herts Choir, UH Singers welcomes staff and students who would like to sing with others. There is no requirement to be able to read music or even have sung before. The group also aims to perform at University occasions throughout the academic year.

UH Singers rehearsals will be taken by conductor Hanh Doan. You are invited to join rehearsals on the following dates and locations:

  • Thu 10 Oct 12.30-13:30, Rotunda, The Key, College Lane campus
  • Thu 17 Oct 12:00-13:00, R140, de Haviland campus
  • Thu 24 Oct 12:30-13:30, Rotunda, The Key, College Lane campus
  • Thu 7 Nov 13:00-1400, R215, de Havilland campus
  • Thu 14 Nov 12:30-13:30, Rotunda, The Key, College Lane campus
  • Thu 21 Nov 13:00-14:00, R215 de Havilland campus
  • Thu 28 Nov 12:30-13:30, Rotunda, The Key, College Lane campus

You are also invited to join UH Singers for the UH Carol Service on Thu 5 Dec at 12:00-13:00 in the Hutton Foyer, College Lane campus.

About Hanh Doan

Hanh Doan is an Academic Skills Tutor in CLASS (Centre for Learning, Access and Student Success) and a Senior Lecturer in Music Education at School of Law and Education. She was formerly a secondary school music teacher for 19 years and during this time grew and led choirs and singing groups of all abilities both in school and the local community.
