UH Arts + Culture are delighted to invite alumni, students and staff who were part of St Albans School of Art to a Collections + Research Session as part of Living Memories of St Albans School of Art.

This is the first in a series of four events which encourages attendees to share and record their own memories of the school, and offers the opportunity to hear more from the project team.

The session will gather recollections from participants as we explore artworks in the University of Hertfordshire Art Collection from artists connected to the history of St Albans School of Art. Steven Adams, Associate Dean for Research at the School of Creative Arts, will also share insights into the how’s and why’s of academic research.

Please join us to:

  • Explore the UH Art Collection
  • Hear more about artists from St Albans School of Art
  • Learn about academic research, and how you might undertake your own research
  • Chat informally with project staff
  • Meet others who attended the school

There will be an opportunity for alumni to undertake an oral history recording, remembering their time at the school. If you are interested in taking part in this, please email l.rolinson@herts.ac.uk

Anyone with associations with St Albans School of Art is welcome, including relations of those who were part of the school’s community. You don’t need to attend all the events or share stories – everyone is welcome.

Booking is required so that we can anticipate numbers. All attendees will be asked to fill in a participation permission form prior to attending. Please RSVP to l.rolinson@herts.ac.uk or book your place using the Book Now button.

If you cannot attend, and would still like to be involved, please contact l.rolinson@herts.ac.uk

We look forward to welcoming you to this event and hearing your stories!
